Instructions

Monti is designed to help you explore any problem or challenge by asking you curious questions.

 

You can choose to answer the questions that work best for you. 

Start by clicking the Start Conversation button. You will then be asked to indicate one or two reasons for using Monti today. After your conversation, Monti will return to these reasons and ask whether or not you got what you wanted from using Monti. 

Now, start typing about a current challenge or problem, or just write about what is on your mind.

You can also click the Problem Topic button to select your problem from a list of commonly described problems. 

Stuck for words to describe how you feel?

If so, click the Emotion Choice button to add a word to your text that best describes a feeling. There is list of around twenty categories, and when you click one, you can select the specific word or phrase that describes your feeling or state of mind from a list. 

When you have typed at least one full sentence, press the Send button 

Monti will then reply with a question for you. If the question seems helpful, answer it with at least another full sentence.

If you prefer a different question, click the Refresh button which is situated under Monti's response. Press it again until you get a helpful question. Or if none of them work for you, you can just keeping typing about what’s bothering you today. 

To get the most out of Monti, try to keep the conversation going until you are ready to pause or end the conversation. Use the Pause or End Conversation buttons to do so. You can return to paused conversations via the Resume Conversation button on the homescreen. 

When you exit, please indicate whether you got what you wanted from Monti and share your feedback on the conversation! Your feedback will help us to continue to improve the user experience and to improve the capacity for Monti to ask helpful questions. 

Your past conversations are encrypted and stored for you to access. Use the Past Conversation button on the homescreen to access these, and they can be viewed or decrypted for download.
